Germany’s energy regulator probes insider trading claims
264 views
Germany’s energy regulator – the Federal Network Agency – is scrutinising allegations of insider trading in the country’s power market first reported by Montel in June. The allegations relate to a confidential signal grid operators provide to select companies to keep power networks in balance. The regulator says it has been demanding information from network operators since whistleblowers told Montel the signal was being used to front run the power market. Reporting by Nathan Witkop, Editor Clean Energy Desk, Montel.
