Supply shortage fears fade as spring approaches

The European meteorological winter ended on 29 February and any remaining fears of a supply shortage on the power and gas markets are evaporating. This means Europe has made it through its second winter without Russian gas. Heating demand on the continent is muted as Europe saw its third-warmest winter on record.
